VCD In-Screed Electric Heating Cables

The Elektra VCD Cable is designed for installation in new construction projects or rooms where the floor has not yet been completed. It primarily serves as a primary heating system, providing the sole source of warmth in a room. When used as a supplementary heating system, often referred to as the “Warm Floor Effect”, an additional primary heating system is required.

The cable is installed directly onto rigid PIR insulation using fixing staples or fixing straps to keep it securely in place before the screed is laid. In some insulation and screed combinations, a vapour barrier may be required to be installed directly over the insulation before placing the cable and applying the screed.

Installation Notes

• Insulation: Must be rigid PIR insulation for optimal performance.
• Screed Requirements: To comply with building regulations, a minimum of 65mm sand/cement screed or 50mm pumped screed must be used.
